Ros Gellis

I started dancing at the age of 3 at a local weekend dance school, where I took Ballet, Tap and Modern classes. Later I attended Jill Rose Ballet School and began acrobatics lessons. I also took part in stage productions with North Worcestshire Operatics Society and performed as a member of West Midlands Dance Youth Theatre.

Throughout University I took part in their dance society as well as attending dance classes in Contemporary and Ballet. Currently I am a member of a graduate dance company and with them have had the oppurtunity to perform on a short tour of 6 dates and at the International Dance Festival.

Within my working life I have contributed to the teaching of A level dance and ran clubs in Acrobatics. I still enjoy taking classes to improve my own technique, learn new movements and choreography techniques.

At the Caroline Lewis performing arts school I find teachers and students to be friendly, welcoming and great fun. I'd recommend anyone to come along and get involved whether they want to take dance as a hobby or a career.
